The Vienna House project placed an emphasis on sustainability and resiliency for design, construction, and lifecycle of the building. Bulletin #7 explores the innovations and technologies used to enhance the project’s overall sustainability and resilience objectives. From consideration of embodied carbon to mixed mode ventilation and cooling, Vienna House was designed for tenant comfort while achieving Passive House certification.
Impact:
Vienna House is a mass timber and lightwood hybrid building that will explore innovative technologies, approaches, and designs to affordable and sustainable housing construction.
