Purpose:

Incorporating a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) or energy recovery ventilator (ERV) into the ventilation system is an effective means of meeting ventilation code requirements, reducing energy consumption, and achieving a healthy indoor environment by enhancing indoor air quality and thermal comfort. This bulletin focuses specifically on HRV design for new Part 9 houses in B.C.
