Purpose:

This report measured vertical movement and wood moisture content from construction to service in a six-storey wood-frame residential building in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The project’s major objective was to assess the impact of various factors on the building movement and to improve the prediction of vertical movement in future designs. The factors considered included construction materials and methods, wood moisture content, and load.
