Purpose:
This study investigates the possibility of using a hybrid Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Cold Formed Steel (CFS) system on the Vienna House project. It highlights the features and potential applications of this hybrid approach. Timber Engineering Inc. produced a technical analysis as a separate study; it is provided as an appendix.
Impact:
This valuable collaboration between Vancouver and Vienna will result in the advancement and development of best practice building policies and methods targeting Near Zero Emission buildings within the affordable housing sector.Theme:
