Purpose:
Failing to maintain or replace aged or degraded sealants can cause damage to the building envelope and will lessen its durability. A relatively small investment in maintaining the sealant – and replacing it, when necessary – will help prevent damage to the building envelope including to the wall itself and the building’s structure.
