Performance Monitoring of an Energy Efficient Six-Storey Wood-Frame Building. Hygrothermal Performance, Thermal Comfort, and Space Heating Energy

 View Saved (0)

Purpose:

Gathering the ‘As Built’ performance through in-situ testing and monitoring can help compare field measurements with design expectations to improve the designs of future buildings, validate various modelling to improve design tools, and support regulatory and market acceptance for innovative (e.g., taller, larger, energy efficient) wood buildings.

Impact:

This monitoring study focuses on assessing durability performance of the building envelope assemblies (exterior wall, roof), indoor thermal comfort, and electricity use of space heating for this energy efficient building.
