Purpose:

It applies to low-rise detached and semi-detached homes, rowhouses/townhomes, and multi-unit residential buildings up to six storeys. Topics include wood-frame, steel stud, concrete, and below-grade wall systems. The third edition adds guidance on acoustical performance, fire risk considerations, and embodied carbon reduction.
