2023 Report on Homeless Counts in B.C.

Purpose:

This report summarizes findings from 27 Point-in-Time (PiT) Homeless Counts conducted in communities across British Columbia in 2023. The communities with PiT Counts included in this report represent 76% of the population of the province. It details important baseline information on the estimated number, key demographic, and service provision needs of people experiencing homelessness in B.C. communities.

Impact:

Homeless counts give important baseline information on the estimated number, key demographic and service provision needs of people experiencing homelessness. A Point in Time count provides a snapshot of people who are experiencing homelessness in a 24-hour period.
