Purpose:

Camas Gardens, located near Victoria, has 44 self-contained bachelor and one-bedroom units for people who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, including people facing mental health or addiction issues, either active or in recovery. This case study explores concerns that were raised about the site and the strategies used to gain community acceptance.

Impact:

The Community Acceptance of Supportive Housing – Case Study Series helps future sites to better address neighbourhood concerns at the initial stages of a project.
